EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- While winning three consecutive games cannot be considered impressive, it is quite a feat for the Edmonton Oilers.

Radek Dvorak scored two goals and set up another and Mike York added two assists as the Oilers extended their winning streak to a season-high three games with a 5-2 triumph over the Chicago Blackhawks.

After winning two straight for just the second time this season, the Oilers struck for three goals in a 3:39 span midway through the first period to grab a 3-0 lead. But Chicago tallied twice in the second to pull within a goal heading into the final 20 minutes.

"It was a deep hole, but it was interesting how the game went," Blackhawks coach Brian Sutter said. "We got ourselves back into the hockey game, but that fourth goal killed us."

Raffi Torres made it 4-2 midway through the third and Dvorak sealed the victory with an empty-netter, extending Edmonton's home unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1).

"I wasn't worried about not scoring because I'm having chances every game," said Dvorak, who had scored just once in his first 17 contests. "So (I) just keep playing my game and the chances will come, and so will the goals."

Jarret Stoll and former Blackhawk Ethan Moreau also scored and Ty Conklin made 33 saves for the Oilers, who posted three four-game winning streaks in 2002-03.

"I'm feeling better every day and hopefully it just keeps going," said Conklin, who improved to 4-1-0 since starter Tommy Salo went down with a hip injury. "The more opportunities you get, the more comfortable you feel in there."

Mark Bell and Scott Nichol tallied for Chicago, which fell to 1-6-1 in its last eight visits to the Skyreach Centre.

The Blackhawks' six-game road trip got off to a poor start, as Dvorak scored on a two-man advantage before Stoll and Moreau tallied 77 seconds apart for a three-goal cushion. Stoll's goal was his third in five games.

"It's hard enough to win a game when you start 0-0, never mind when you get behind by three goals," Chicago right wing Steve Sullivan said.

But things got better for Chicago in the second period. Bell pounced on a turnover in the Edmonton zone and fired a snap shot that beat Conklin high to the glove side at 6:55. He then set up Nichol, who put a shot over the goalie's right shoulder for his second goal.

At 9:53 of the third, Dvorak unleashed a shot that banked off the end boards to Torres, who fired a slapper from the left circle past Michael Leighton for a 4-2 Oilers lead.

Torres' tally gave him four goals in five games, while York's two assists extended his points streak to five contests.
