CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- With Steven Reinprecht and Jarome Iginla clicking on all cylinders, defenseman Toni Lydman was happy to take advantage.

Lydman scored 84 seconds into overtime as the Calgary Flames posted a rare home victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs, 3-2.

Reinprecht and Iginla had a hand in all three goals, with Reinprecht registering a goal and two assists and Iginla recording three assists.

Iginla's final assist came on a pass to Reinprecht, who cut across the crease and shoveled a shot on net. With traffic in front and Toronto goaltender Ed Belfour sprawled across the goalmouth, the rebound trickled out to Lydman, who rifled a slap shot into the top right corner of the net for his second goal of the season.

"You can't get much better than that, a winner in overtime," Lydman said. "We won the faceoff clean and I passed the puck to Steven. He went straight to the net and I don't really know what happened, but the puck just came right out to me and half the net was empty and luckily, I hit it."

"Toni just handed it off to me towards the boards and I went to the net and actually, I was trying to hit Iggy on the back door, but it popped out and Toni was all over it there," Reinprecht said.

Dean McAmmond also scored for the Flames, who have just three wins in their last 11 home games vs. Toronto.

Defenseman Bryan McCabe and Mats Sundin had goals for the Maple Leafs, who are 0-1-2-1 on a season-high six-game road trip.

"It was probably not one of our best efforts," Sundin said. "We haven't really put a good game together in a while. We've found a way to get points, but it seems like we're not playing good enough to win hockey games right now."

"We seemed to get out of whack just for three or four minutes there," Toronto coach Pat Quinn said. "(That's) certainly not the way to finish games. Maybe we were afraid to lose it or something. Playing afraid, you end up losing it anyway."

Belfour, playing for the first time in three games, made 23 saves and fell to 5-7-3 this season.

Calgary goaltender Jamie McLennan stopped just 14 shots but won for only the second time in six outings.

Toronto broke on top midway through the first period when McCabe ripped a slap shot that hit the stick of a defender and deflected past McLennan to the short side.

Reinprecht had a tap-in for his third goal of the season with 5:40 left in the opening period and Calgary took a 2-1 lead when McAmmond beat Belfour to the glove side with a wrist shot from the hash marks late in the second.

After Sundin beat McLennan with a low slap shot 3:46 into the third period, Belfour kept the game deadlocked by denying Iginla on a breakaway late in regulation.

"There was that chance late in the game where we could have won it point blank, but it was good to pick up the win in overtime," Iginla said. "It's a win and a huge two points for us."
