DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Coyotes are developing quite a flair for the dramatic.

One night after Phoenix rallied from a two-goal, third-period deficit to steal a victory in overtime, Jan Hrdina scored with 50 seconds remaining in the third to lift the Coyotes to a 3-3 tie with the Dallas Stars.

After enduring a nine-game winless streak, the Coyotes entered Friday's game winners of two of their last three, including a thrilling come-from-behind triumph over Colorado on Thursday. In this one, Phoenix rallied from two deficits to force its fourth consecutive overtime and earn a crucial point against its Pacific Division rival.

"What can I say? These are the cardiac kids," Phoenix coach Bob Francis said. "You work hard to make things happen and get what you deserve. When you put forth the effort, good things happen. It's nice when you get results."

With goaltender Brian Boucher on the bench for an extra attacker, Hrdina pounced on a loose puck in the slot and lifted it toward the net. After bouncing off goaltender Marty Turco, the puck caromed off the right goalpost and into the net, snapping Hrdina's nine-game goalless drought and knotting the contest at 3-3.

"Hrdina actually scored the goal," said Coyotes right wing Branko Radivojevic, who originally was credited with the goal. "It hit off of my butt and he hacked at the rebound, and it wound up in the net."

Radivojevic and defenseman Radoslav Suchy also tallied for the Coyotes, who have gone to overtime in eight of their 16 games.

"Dallas is a really good team and we were able to battle back twice against them," Radivojevic said. "You can't say enough about our effort."

Scott Young, Bill Guerin and Rob DiMaio scored for the Stars, who saw their winless streak reach five games but extended their unbeaten run against Phoenix to seven.

"It's a step forward," Dallas defenseman Richard Matvichuk said. "The intentions of the 25 guys in the locker room are to play for each other and nobody else. We've gotten ourselves into this hole and we've got to dig ourselves out."

Radivojevic put the Coyotes ahead midway through the first period with his second goal in as many games, but Young one-timed Pierre Turgeon's pass past Boucher while on the power play with 4:18 to go.

Guerin and Suchy traded goals in the third before DiMaio beat Boucher with a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle while shorthanded at 12:34, giving Dallas a 3-2 lead.

Boucher turned aside 32 shots in just his second start of the season.

"I felt pretty good going into tonight," he said. "This was a good test against a good hockey club that's been struggling of late. I felt pretty sharp from the beginning."

"He's incredible," Francis said. "His timing and his position was solid. He really rose to the occasion tonight."
