ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- Keith Tkachuk scored twice and Chris Osgood notched his first shutout of the season as the St. Louis Blues extended their winning streak to three games with a 2-0 blanking of the Florida Panthers.

Tkachuk tallied in each of the first two periods, collecting his eighth and ninth goals off assists from Pavol Demitra. He started the scoring 7:18 into the opening period on a 4-on-1.

Demitra came down the right wing and swept a pass across to Tkachuk, who one-timed it past goaltender Roberto Luongo for his third straight game-winner.

On the power play at 10:02 of the second, Tkachuk was in the slot and deflected Demitra's slap shot from the right circle by Luongo.

"We moved the puck extremely well tonight," Blues coach Joel Quenneville said. "Pavol really knows how to thread the needle on these plays and Tkachuk has been the recipient on every one of them tonight. He is a great passer and Tkachuk goes to the net hard."

Osgood, who shares the NHL lead with seven wins, had to make just 11 saves for his 39th career shutout and first since March 26 at Minnesota. He came up with two big saves late in the first period, both on 2-on-1s.

"Ozzie made some key saves that were important in that first period off the rush," Quenneville said. "Ozzie is moving well, he's finding the puck and he's working with his defense well. He is definitely healthy, and you can see that he is control."

Osgood improved to 11-1-5 lifetime against Florida.

The Blues won for the sixth time in their last seven games, despite the absence of center Doug Weight, who began serving a four-game suspension for a vicious cross-check on Vancouver's Henrik Sedin in Thursday's 3-2 victory.

St. Louis improved to 5-1-0 at home, yielding just seven goals at the Savvis Center. The Blues took six of a possible eight points on their four-game homestand.

"You want to get something out of this homestand and make it a productive one, and it was great to get the last six points," Quenneville said. "We did some good things on this homestand and we have had some great practices and brought the energy that was necessary tonight."

Playing consecutive games, Luongo stopped 20 shots for the Panthers, who dropped to 3-11-3-0 all time against the Blues and 1-7-1 in St. Louis.
