BALTIMORE (Ticker) -- Jamal Lewis again ran over and around the Cincinnati Bengals.

Lewis rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns for his sixth straight 100-yard rushing effort against the Bengals as the Baltimore Ravens gained sole possession of first place in the AFC North with a 31-13 victory.

The Ravens (8-5) avenged a 34-26 loss in Cincinnati in October, snapped the Bengals' four-game winning streak and spoiled the homecoming of Cincinnati rookie coach Marvin Lewis, Baltimore's former defensive coordinator.

Lewis scored on TD runs of one yard in the second quarter, three yards in the third and 13 yards in the fourth for Baltimore, which has won a team record five straight games at home.

"They played good sound football," said Jamal Lewis, who carried 30 times. "It's just that we dominated and we played more physical than they did."

With three games left against teams with losing records, the Ravens are in solid position to win their first-ever division title.

The Bengals (7-6) have made huge strides under Marvin Lewis and remain in contention for their first postseason berth in 13 years. But Cincinnati received a reality check on Sunday, turning the ball over five times in losing for the sixth time in as many visits to M&T Bank Stadium.

"I don't think we played bad football today, we just didn't play good enough to win," Marvin Lewis said. "We turned over the ball. When you turn over the ball against a good team, you're going to get beat."

Baltimore's offense again was in high gear under Anthony Wright, who made his fourth straight start at quarterback and threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Robinson in the second quarter. Robinson has caught six touchdown passes in his last three games.

Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna was responsible for four of the turnovers as he fumbled twice and threw two interceptions. He was under constant pressure from a Baltimore defense that recorded six sacks, including two by linebacker Terrell Suggs.

"I think this is a statement game for us," Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis said. "There was a sour taste in our mouths from what happened the last time we played them."

Cincinnati's other turnover was on a muffed punt by Peter Warrick, which set up a one-yard TD run by Jamal Lewis. Wright made it 14-3 when he found Robinson in the right corner of the end zone for an eight-yard score.

Warrick caught 11 passes for 90 yards, including a four-yard TD pass from Kitna in the second quarter, and felt the Bengals were their own worst enemy.

"It wasn't nothing that they did," said Warrick. "It's just that we didn't play up to our potential."
