PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Brian Westbrook did in the New York Giants again.

Westbrook scored three touchdowns and Donovan McNabb enjoyed his best game of the season as the Eagles extended their winning streak to five games with a 28-10 rout of the NFC East-rival New York Giants

A 2002 third-round pick, Westbrook is the Eagles' fastest player and has given McNabb an offensive weapon to work with. The running back caught a 29-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and had a four-yard TD run and a five-yard touchdown reception in the second half.

In last month's 14-10 road win over the Giants, Westbrook provided the winning points by returning a punt 84 yards for a touchdown with 76 seconds remaining.

"It's nothing that I did personally (against them)," Westbrook said. "Coach (Andy Reid) just put me in a good position."

"He catches the ball. He's quick and creates separation," McNabb said.

It also was big game for McNabb, who completed 24-of-30 passes for a season-high 314 yards and two touchdowns. He threw for just 64 yards in the first meeting between the teams.

Correll Buckhalter also ran one yard for a TD for the Eagles (7-3), who have won seven of their last eight games following an 0-2 start.

Kerry Collins threw a 10-yard TD pass to running back Tiki Barber early in the fourth quarter for the Giants (4-6), who remain one of the NFL's biggest disappointments. The Giants are tied with Washington for last place in the NFC East.

"We're not playing well, and that's my job," said Giants coach Jim Fassel, who has come under fire. "When things go wrong, it always finds its way back to me. You're the head coach and that's what I'm responsible for."

The Giants looked everything like a last-place team, especially late in the second quarter.

Trailing 14-3, New York drove 66 yards and had a 1st-and-goal at the Philadelphia 1. But former Eagle Dorsey Levens was stuffed on two runs around an incompletion by Collins before Barber ran outside and was dragged down by linebacker Carlos Emmons for a two-yard loss.

"Today was a perfect example of missed opportunities," said Collins, who completed 25-of-44 passes for 268 yards with an interception. "That's been something that that's plagued us all year long. So if you don't (score), you don't win."

"We called the defense and slanted people to the outside and they did an outside run," Emmons said. "It was a good call by (defensive coordinator) Jim Johnson. The guys on the field made great plays and it ended up being a big stop for us."

McNabb engineered scoring drives of 61 and 73 yards in the opening half. He was just as effective in the second half, completing 12 straight passes at one point and directing touchdown drives of 95 and 55 yards.

"We made plays," McNabb said. "Ball placement, catching the ball, time to throw in the pocket. A whole offense coming together."

"Donovan did a nice job today," Reid said. "He hit nine different receivers for however many yards and seemed very productive."

Barber rushed for 111 yards but could not prevent the Giants from losing to the Eagles for the fifth time in the last six meetings.
