GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Ahman Green made sure Mike Holmgren's second trip to Lambeau Field was a miserable one.

Green rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns and Brett Favre passed for two scores, lifting the Green Bay Packers to a 35-13 victory over Holmgren and the Seattle Seahawks.

The only coach to succeed in the prodigious shadow of Vince Lombardi, Holmgren won a Super Bowl, took the Packers to another and guided the the franchise to six playoff appearances in his seven-year tenure. But Holmgren left the Packers after the 1998 season to become coach-general manager of the Seahawks.

Holmgren made a triumphant return to Lambeau Field in 1999, leading the Seahawks to a 27-7 win in a Monday night contest.

One of Holmgren's worst trades with the Seattle came in 2000, when he dealt Green to the Packers for cornerback Fred Vinson.

In Green Bay, Green has emerged as one of the NFL's top running backs. On Sunday, he produced his second straight and third 100-yard game of the season at the expense of the previously unbeaten Seahawks (3-1), who came into the contest ranked second in the league in scoring defense.

"It was a business deal. I consider it a blessing," Green said. "Coach Sherman and the Packers gave me an opportunity. It's been a work in progress ever since."

"He certainly was very good today and he's a good player," Holmgren said. "I think Pro Bowl. Being called a Pro Bowl back, is a pretty nice thing."

Green had touchdown runs of one and three yards in the second quarter, when the Packers (3-2) built a 21-13 lead.

The game also marked the return of Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and defensive coordinator Ray Rhodes to Green Bay. Hasselbeck spent three seasons with the Packers and Rhodes was fired after one season as Green Bay coach in 1999.

Hasselbeck completed 23-of-39 passes for 276 yards with one interception.

"I was extremely excited to come back, mostly because I have so much respect for this place and for the people here and for the guys that I was going to play against," Hasselbeck said. "I'm just so disappointed it didn't work out the way I thought it might. It's just too bad."

But it was an even rougher day for Rhodes' revamped defense, which surrendered touchdowns on five straight possessions after the Packers failed to score on their opening drive of the game. Green Bay finished with 336 total yards and 27 first downs.

The Packers went 49, 66, 68, 53 and 56 yards on their scoring drives.

The Packers converted a fumble by Shaun Alexander into the game's first points in the opening quarter.

Taking over at the Seahawks 49, the Packers needed just five plays to reach the end zone. Favre found Donald Driver, who beat rookie cornerback Marcus Trufant down the left sideline for a 34-yard touchdown pass. Driver had seven catches for 72 yards.

"Nobody covered me," Driver said. "I was wide open. Brett made a great throw and I made a great catch."

Favre completed 19-of-25 passes for 185 yards. In his first meeting against his former coach, Favre committed six turnovers.

"We played against a Hall of Fame quarterback who had a Hall of Fame game," Hasselbeck said. "Maybe the game would have been closer, but it's tough to win when Brett Favre is having a Brett Favre day."

But the Seahawks answered with a nine-play, 71-yard drive that Alexander capped with a one-yard TD run. Alexander rushed for 102 yards on 20 attempts.

Favre and the Packers responded by going 66 yards in 13 plays. Favre kept alive the march with a 14-yard completion on a 3rd-and-4 play to the Seahawks 36.

Green capped the march with a one-yard TD run 1:47 into the second quarter, giving the Packers a 14-7 lead.

On their ensuing possession, the Seahawks reached the Packers 10 but were forced to settle for Josh Brown's 27-yard field goal.

Favre and Green went to work on the Packers' next drive. They combined for all the yardage on a nine-play, 68-yard drive that Green capped with a three-yard run, giving the Packers a 21-10 lead with 36 seconds left in the first half.

But Hasselbeck moved the Seahawks down the field before the half, with two 12-yard completions around a 20-yard connection to Koren Robinson.

Hasselbeck lost seven yards on sack by Michael Hawthorne, but Brown drilled a 58-yard field goal as time expired in the half.

Hasselbeck went 12-of-15 for 133 yards in the half. Favre was just as effective, going 11-of-14 for 124 yards and a score.

While Hasselbeck slowed down in the second half, Favre had no trouble keeping the Packers moving.

Favre directed an 11-play, 53-yard drive on the Packers' initial possession of the third quarter. Tony Fisher scored on a 11-yard run to cap the march, giving the Packers a 28-13 advantage.

Favre put the game out of reach with a two-yard TD pass to fullback William Henderson with 39 seconds left in the third quarter.
