Denver Broncos at Green Bay Packers

Recap | Boxscore

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- Brett Favre will receive a rousing ovation from his adoring fans at Lambeau Field after an emotional week. He hopes Sunday ends with his Green Bay Packers in the playoffs.

Green Bay will host the playoff-bound Denver Broncos in a marquee interconference matchup.

The Packers can win the NFC North division title with a win Sunday and a loss by the Minnesota Vikings. However, the Vikings will play the Arizona Cardinals, who have lost seven straight and own the worst record in the NFC.

There is a chance the Packers can win Sunday and miss the playoffs. If Minnesota and Seattle wins and Dallas loses, then the Vikings would win the NFC North and the Cowboys and Seahawks would be the wild cards.

That is probably not the scenario the NFL is hoping for after Favre's electrifying performance on Monday. Playing the night after the death of his father, Favre threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns in Green Bay's 41-7 thumping of Oakland.

The performance moved Favre into second place on the all-time list for touchdown passes with 345.

The Broncos clinched their first playoff berth since 2000 with a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts last week.

Rookie Quentin Griffin filled in for the injured Clinton Portis and rushed for 136 yards in the win over the Colts. Portis, Denver's leading rusher with 1,591 yards, is nursing a high ankle sprain and will likely be rested again on Sunday.

Denver's defense has to face Favre a week after successfully containing Peyton Manning, who was just 12-of-23 for 146 yards against the Broncos.

The Broncos have never won at Lambeau Field, going 0-3-1.
