Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams

Recap | Boxscore

ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Rams are in the playoffs for the fourth time in five years and can clinch their third NFC West title in that span with a win Sunday over the Seattle Seahawks.

Winners of nine of their last 10, the Rams have a two-game lead over Seattle with three games left. The Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys currently occupy the NFC wild-card spots.

The Edward Jones Dome has certainly been home sweet home for the Rams, who have averaged 35.8 points in their six wins here. Quarterback Marc Bulger is 11-0 at home and Marshall Faulk is heating up with four straight 100-yard games.

The Seahawks haven't made the playoffs since 1999 under coach Mike Holmgren and need to figure out a way to win on the road, where they have lost five straight, allowing an average of 33.4 points during the skid.

The latest disaster was a 34-7 loss at Minnesota last week. The Seahawks yielded 465 total yards, including 193 on the ground.

Minnesota's Randy Moss caught eight passes for 133 yards, including touchdowns of 45 and 47 yards against Seattle. That should excite Rams star receiver Torry Holt, who leads the NFL with a career-high 96 catches for 1,418 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The teams met in Week Three at Seattle and the Seahawks rallied from a 13-point fourth quarter deficit and defeated the Rams, 24-23. Matt Hasselbeck hit Koren Robinson with a three-yard touchdown pass with a minute left for the winning touchdown. Robinson had eight catches for 95 yards - all in the second half.

It looked like the Seahawks were in trouble after failing to convert a 4th-and-1 at their own 40 with under five minutes remaining. But three plays later, linebacker Anthony Simmons intercepted a pass by Bulger to set up the winning drive.

Faulk suffered a broken left hand in that game and was held to 31 yards on 15 carries.

Bulger threw for 226 yards, but was intercepted twice. He is 16-3 as a starting quarterback overall, with two of the losses coming against Seattle.

Safety Aeneas Williams had a pair of interceptions, returning one 46 yards for a touchdown, in the Rams' 26-20 win at Cleveland last Monday.
