SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Rookie Ken Hamlin may have his sights set on Terrell Owens on Sunday night when the Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers in an AFC West matchup.

A second-round pick out of Arkansas, Hamlin won the starting free safety job for the Seahawks and already has established himself as a physical presence.

One of the NFL's top receivers and biggest showboats, Owens may want to be on the lookout for Hamlin.

The Seahawks have some added incentive against Owens, who caught a pair of touchdown passes in a 28-20 win here in a Monday night contest last October. He turned his second TD reception, a 37-yarder into the fourth quarter, into a souvenir to infuriate the Seahawks.

After his catch, Owens pranced into the end zone, grabbed a marker from his sock, autographed the football and handed it to his financial advisor.

It wasn't the first outrageous celebration for Owens, who once danced on the star at the center of the field in Dallas twice in one game. He was attacked by a member of the Cowboys the second time.

Owens said he did not mean to disrespect the Seahawks.

"Everyone's always saying I'm being disrespectful or I'm a bad guy," said Owens, one of the best receivers in the game. "But I'm just trying to be creative and having fun."

But Seahawks coach Paul Holmgren was incensed by Owens' action, calling it an "embarrassment to the NFL."

Owens created no such stir when the Niners completed the season sweep with a 31-24 victory on December 1. In that contest, he caught five passes for 45 yards.

This season, Owens' flamboyant personality continues to haunt him. He has been unhappy about his role in the Niners' red zone offense, and two weeks ago, Owens expressed his frustration by berating Greg Knapp on the sidelines during a 35-7 loss at Minnesota.

Last Sunday, Owens caught five passes for 79 yards, including a six-yard touchdown in a 24-17 victory over the Detroit Lions.

The Seahawks failed in their bid to start 4-0 for the first time in club history as they endured a 35-13 loss at Green Bay last Sunday.

After forcing 11 turnovers in their first three games, the Seahawks struggled defensively against the Packers. They gave touchdowns on five possessions at one point and surrendered 27 first downs.

Holmgren has ties with the 49ers. He was an assistant coach with San Francisco from 1986-91 and was a part of two Super Bowl winning teams.

The Niners lead the series, 6-2.
