*Robinson leads Oklahoma State over Indiana*

TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Oklahoma State's potent offense was too much for Indiana to handle.

Zac Robinson passed for three touchdowns and rushed for two more scores, powering the Cowboys to 49-33 rout of the Hoosiers in the Insight Bowl.

Oklahoma State's offense was unstoppable in the first half, scoring touchdowns on all five of its five possessions to build a 35-10 halftime lead.

"Obviously we got off to a fast start," Oklahoma coach Mike Gundy said. "We felt like would be faster than them in space and it would be difficult for them to tackle us. The key for us defensively were the stops in the first half, which allowed our offense to get ahead by three scores."

The Cowboys averaged 484 yards during the regular season - the second-highest total in school history - and moved the ball at will against the Hoosiers.

Robinson accounted for 372 yards of total offense. He completed 24-of-34 passes for 302 yards and rushed for 70 yards on 15 carries. He was named the game's Offensive Most Valuable Player.

"Everything was really working in the beginning. We got everything we wanted," Robinson said. "We felt that whatever was coming in we were going to be able to make some big plays, whether it was the throwing game, running game, whatever. We were spreading the ball around to everybody and it came down to just executing - and we did."

It was a disappointing end of an emotional season for Indiana, which made its first bowl appearance since 1993.

Bill Lynch completed his first full year as Indiana coach after succeeding the late Terry Hoeppner, who lost his battle against a brain tumor on June 19. Hoeppner was 59.

"We didn't get our feet underneath early in the game," Lynch said. "They controlled the early part of the game and offensively we didn't get any kind of flow.

"It was a great experience. The thing about bowl games is that it is a beginning and an end. It is sad because we are losing some great guys. ... I think it is the beginning of something that is going to be very good."

Kellen Lewis completed 23-of-43 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Lewis also rushed for a 1-yard TD that briefly got Indiana back in the game at 35-17 with 10:29 left in the third quarter.

But after punting the first time it got the ball in the second half, Oklahoma State made it six touchdowns in seven possessions.

Robinson's 11-yard TD strike pushed the Cowboys' lead to 42-17 with 6:16 left in the third period.

"It was a good way to end it," said Oklahoma State safety Donovan Woods, who was named the Defensive MVP. "In my career I have been through quite a lot. I compare it to life and you never know what you are going to go through - and you have to deal with it."

Lewis completed the scoring with a 30-yard TD pass to James Bailey with one second remaining.

"I don't think we came out too complacent, just a little flat and before we knew it the score was what it was," Lewis said. "We came back in the second half but one thing we should learn is that we have to play a full 40 minutes."
