TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- DeJuan Green scored on a 25-yard run in the second overtime and defensive tackle Lee Roy Selmon Jr. sealed the victory with an interception as South Florida posted a wild 24-17 Conference USA victory over Cincinnati.

Green ran down the right sideline and broke several tackles before diving into the end zone to give South Florida (5-3, 3-2 C-USA) the lead with his fourth rushing touchdown of the season.

Cincinnati (4-4, 2-3) took over for its possession of the second overtime and converted one first down before Gino Guidugli's pass bounced off tailback Richard Hall's shoulder pads right to Selmon, who grabbed it and raced out of bounds as the victorious Bulls stormed the field.

Selmon is the son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers great Lee Roy Selmon, the current South Florida athletic director.

The Bearcats had the ball first in overtime and scored on Guidugli's 25-yard pass to Dennis Hart. Guidugli was 20-of-36 for 212 yards and two scores.

South Florida tied it on Brian Fisher's four-yard TD run.

The defensive struggle featured only two touchdowns in regulation. Guidugli threw a two-yard pass to Mike Daniels in the first quarter and the Bulls tied it on Pat Julmiste's 36-yard TD pass to Elgin Hicks in the third period. Cincinnati had a chance to win in regulation, but Chet Ervin's 41-yard field goal in the final seconds was blocked.
