COLUMBIA, South Carolina (Ticker) -- Daccus Turman ran for three touchdowns as South Carolina extended its winning streak over Kentucky to four games with a 27-21 Southeastern Conference victory.

Turman had two touchdowns as a freshman last season and ran for three in the first five games of 2003 before doubling that total against the Wildcats.

The 5-11, 229-pound running back had just 43 yards on 16 carries but matched Kentucky's point total by himself. He opened the scoring with a one-yard plunge 85 seconds into the game and added a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to give the Gamecocks (4-2, 1-2 SEC East) a 27-7 lead.

Kentucky rallied in the final period as Shane Boyd connected with Chris Bernard on a seven-yard touchdown with 10:38 left and ran for a 15-yard score less than 3 1/2 minutes later.

The Wildcats stifled the Gamecocks' offense in the fourth quarter, but their final drive stalled at midfield as time expired.

Dondrial Pinkins completed 17-of-29 passes for 183 yards for South Carolina, which used a balanced attack to pile up 356 yards. Demetris Summers rushed for 67 yards on 16 carries as the Gamecocks totaled 180 yards on the ground.

Kentucky's Jared Lorenzen went 11-of-19 for 140 yards and a touchdown before being replaced by Boyd, who was 7-of-14 for 82 yards.

Despite his subpar game, Lorenzen moved past Florida's Rex Grossman for fourth place on the SEC's all-time list with 9,201 passing yards.
