Iowa State Cyclones defeated by Missouri Tigers 7-45

COLUMBIA, Missouri (Ticker) -- Brad Smith and Missouri ran all over hapless Iowa State.

Smith ran for 195 yards and two touchdowns as the Tigers handed the Cyclones their 10th straight defeat, 45-7.

Damien Nash rushed for an additional 91 yards and two scores for Missouri (8-4, 4-4 Big 12 North), which had 376 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

Zack Abron and Tyron Roberson each added a rushing touchdown for the Tigers, who averaged 8.2 yards per carry.

Smith also completed 15-of-24 passes for 108 yards for the Tigers, who outscored the Cyclones in the second half, 31-0, as they snapped a four-game skid against their division rival.

Stevie Hicks had 123 yards on 28 carries for Iowa State (2-10, 0-8), which suffered losses to nine bowl-eligible teams after beginning the season 2-0.

Smith opened the scoring on a 19-yard run with 3:48 left in the second quarter. Abron scored on a 17-yard run with 33 seconds left to make it 14-0 before Terry Waye tossed a 62-yard pass to Lane Danielsen to halve the deficit with two seconds to play.
