NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Jason White and Oklahoma showed Texas A&M no mercy.

White tied a school record with his second five-touchdown game of the season - all in the first half - as the top-ranked Sooners settled another score with a 77-0 drubbing of Texas A&M.

Oklahoma (10-0, 6-0 Big 12 South) extended the nation's longest winning streak to 12 games and registered its highest point total since blanking Missouri, 77-0, on November 8, 1986.

"We came out ready to play and had good focus throughout practice all week," White said. "We came out firing and it seemed like everything was cooking today."

The Sooners have scored at least 50 points on six occasions this season.

"We still have great respect for Texas A&M and understand they're going through some changes," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops added. "We're not sitting here thumping our chests at all. That's not our style and that's not what we do."

The 77 points are the most ever allowed by the Aggies (3-6, 2-4), who are headed to their first losing season since 1982. The 77-point margin of victory was a Big 12 Conference record.

"It certainly was a tough day," first-year Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione said. "We ran into a great football team. They played well and we couldn't get anything going. That's a bad combination."

The Sooners are first in the Bowl Championship Series standings and control their own postseason destiny. Wins over Baylor and Texas Tech and a triumph in the Big 12 title game will assure the Sooners of a date in the Sugar Bowl on January 4.

Even without leading rusher Renaldo Works, who was sidelined with a sore back, Oklahoma's offense was unstoppable.

White, who also threw five TDs in a game against Iowa State, played a near perfect first half, completing 16-of-18 passes for 263 yards. The Heisman Trophy candidate completed his first 14 tosses before wide receiver Jejuan Rankins dropped a pass with 57 seconds left in the first half. White's other incompletion came two plays later when he threw a pass behind Rankins.

In back-to-back weeks, Oklahoma avenged its two losses from last season by a combined margin of 129-9. Last week, the Sooners routed Oklahoma State, 52-9. The Sooners were ranked first in the nation last season when they were stunned by the Aggies, 30-26.

"I was really pleased with our players' preparation coming into the game," Stoops said. "Everything we were doing was very sharp and that's pleasing as a coach."

White threw three TD passes to Mark Clayton and one each to Rankins and Travis Wilson before spending the second half on the bench. Clayton finished with seven receptions for 166 yards.

"There's not a better receiver in the country, in my opinion," White said of Clayton. "He's not only a great pass catcher, but also a great blocker. It's hard to find a receiver that has a good all-around game."

The Sooners scored 35 points in the second quarter to open a 49-0 halftime lead, then tacked on 28 more in the third period to take a 77-0 lead into the final period.

Backup quarterback Paul Thompson scored on TD runs of 29 and four yards in the third quarter.

Counting his final three passes last week, White set a school record with 17 straight completions, breaking the previous mark of 12 held by Oklahoma's current running backs coach Cale Gundy.

"He (White) had a great day," Franchione said. "He was on. He didn't miss a beat. He's as good as any quarterback we've seen this year. He is as premier a player as any we've faced."

Oklahoma picked up 33 first downs, compared to just three for Texas A&M, and outgained the Aggies, 639-54. The Sooners had two runners rush for more than 100 games in one game for the first time since 1999.

Donta Hickson carried 24 times for 131 yards and a touchdown and Kejuan Jones added 120 yards and two scores on 24 attempts.

The Aggies did not cross midfield, failing to convert any of their 12 third-down opportunities. Reggie McNeal was just 4-of-13 for 32 yards while Derek Palmer led the Aggies on the ground with only 21 yards on seven carries.

"They are real fast," McNeal said. They've got a great defense. They deserve to be the No. 1 team and they have the best defense in the nation."

Oklahoma displayed a quick-strike offense, needing less than two minutes on five of its 10 touchdown drives. Oklahoma's longest possession came in the third quarter when it marched 68 yards in 10 plays to take a 70-0 lead on Hickson's two-yard TD run with 2:13 left in the period.

Just 15 seconds later, the defense got into the act as cornerback Derrick Strait returned a fumble 17 yards for a touchdown to complete the scoring.
