MORGANTOWN, West Virginia (Ticker) -- Quincy Wilson rushed for 135 yards as West Virginia pulled away from Central Florida in the fourth quarter en route to a 36-18 victory, its 100th at Mountaineer Field.

Wilson surpassed 100 yards in the first half as West Virginia held a 12-3 lead. He had just 19 in the second half, but the Mountaineers (4-4) clinched their third straight win with two touchdowns in the first 5:10 of the fourth quarter.

Coming off an upset of No. 3 Virginia Tech 10 days ago, West Virginia gained 303 yards on the ground but twice failed to score inside the Central Florida 10 and led just 19-11 entering the final 15 minutes.

UCF was held to just 44 yards on the ground but any hopes it had of winning the game were ended early in the fourth as West Virginia's Joe Hunter recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and Chris Henry hauled in a 79-yard TD pass from backup Charles Hales.

West Virginia stretched its lead to 19-3 less than five minutes into the second half as Travis Garvin ran for an eight-yard score. The drive took just four plays and was set up by Brian King's 21-yard interception return.

But UCF (3-6) took advantage of a nine-yard punt to get in West Virginia territory. Alex Haynes had a 10-yard TD run and Ryan Schneider's successful two-point conversion pass to Darcy Johnson cut the lead to 19-11 with 5:14 left in the third quarter.

But just 80 seconds into the fourth quarter, West Virginia's Jerry White blocked Mark Prater's punt at the UCF 7 and Hunter recovered it in the end zone.

The Moutaineers improved to 100-44-4 at Mountaineer Field, which opened in 1980. They recorded the win despite losing starting quarterback Rasheed Marshall to a concussion in the second half.

Marshall went 8-of-15 for 73 yards and an interception, while Hales was 2-of-2 for 88 yards and a score.

Schneider completed 27-of-44 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown.
