DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Chris Barclay rushed for a career-high 163 yards and three touchdowns - all in the first half - as Wake Forest continued Duke's Atlantic Coast Conference ineptitude with a 42-13 rout.

Duke (2-5, 0-4) dropped its 29th straight conference game. The Blue Devils' last ACC win was a 48-35 triumph over the Demon Deacons in 1999.

Wake Forest (4-3, 2-2) did all its scoring in the first half, rolling to a 42-0 halftime advantage. Barclay's 42-yard TD with 3:29 left before the half capped the 42-point surge

The Demon Deacons took the opening kickoff and embarked on a 10-play, 85-yard drive that was capped with Barclay's 12-yard TD run. He added a one-yard TD plunge after linebacker Kellen Brantley forced a Duke fumble.

Brantley also returned an interception 64 yards for a 28-0 bulge early in the second quarter.

With Barclay gaining yardage by the bushel, Wake Forest's Cory Randolph was just 4-of-4 for 78 yards. The Demon Deacons carried 56 times for 256 yards on the ground, including 22 carries by Barclay.

Duke quarterback Mike Schneider scored on a two-yard keeper late in the third quarter for the Blue Devils' first points.
