COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Reggie McNeal threw three touchdowns and ran for two more, leading Texas A&M to its most lopsided win in over six years, a 73-10 Big 12 Conference victory over Baylor.
McNeal was just 9-of-14, but made them count, throwing for 199 yards, including a 91-yard TD strike to Jamaar Taylor. The Aggies (3-3, 1-1 Big 12 South) snapped a three-game losing streak with their biggest margin of victory since a 66-0 rout of Southwest Louisiana in 1997.
Texas A&M totaled 719 yards - the second-most in school history and its fourth game with more than 700 yards. It also marked the first time Texas A&M reached 70 points since a 73-0 victory over Missouri in 1993.
One week after its 42-30 win over Colorado, Baylor trailed just 10-3 after the first quarter.
But the Aggies struck for 21 straight points, turning the game into a rout as they took a 38-10 advantage into the locker room. Jaxson Appeal started things with a 64-yard interception, McNeal followed with a two-yard TD run and Courtney Lewis scored on a one-yard run.
McNeal also ran eight times for 70 yards, while Lewis had 158 yards on 12 carries and Derek Farmer had 117 on 11 attempts.
Taylor had five catches for 145 yards and capped the first half with an eight-yard score with 20 seconds left.
Texas A&M tacked on to its lead with five TDs in the second half. After McNeal scored his second TD of the day, Taylor caught a 91-yard pass and Lewis raced in for an 86-yard score to make it 59-10.
The Bears dropped their 30th straight conference road game as they were outgained 437-32 on the ground.
