STATE COLLEGE, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Booker Stanley rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries as Wisconsin posted a 30-23 Big Ten Conference victory over struggling Penn State.
It was the second 100-yard game in three weeks for the freshman, who ran for 119 yards and three TDs against North Carolina on September 20.
Anthony Davis returned for Wisconsin (5-1, 2-0) after missing two games with an ankle injury, but rushed for just 35 yards on eight carries.
Jim Sorgi completed just 9-of-26 passes for 140 yards, but tossed a pair of touchdowns for the Badgers, who have won three in a row since a loss to Nevada-Las Vegas.
Wisconsin grabbed the lead for good, 10-9, on Mike Allen's 46-yard field goal with 10:42 left in the second quarter. The Badgers scored again just before the half, taking a 17-9 lead on Sorgi's 20-yard TD pass to Brand Williams with 11 seconds to go.
Jim Leonhard's 65-yard punt return made it 23-9 with 2:17 left in the third quarter.
Matt Robinson, replacing the injured Zack Mills, completed 22-of-43 passes for 379 yards and two touchdowns for the Nittany Lions (2-4, 0-2), who have dropped four of their last five games.
Mills suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of last week's loss to Minnesota.
Robinson tossed a 73-yard TD pass to Matt Kranchick just 33 seconds after Leonhard's punt return to pull Penn State within a touchdown.
But Wisconsin answered on Booker's six-yard TD run with 9:42 left before Robinson found Gerald Smith for a five-yard TD less than a minute later.
Penn State has lost its first two conference games for the second straight year.
