Connecticut Huskies top Army Cadets 48-21

WEST POINT, New York (Ticker) -- Dan Orlovsky threw five touchdown passes as Connecticut extended its winning streak to six games with a 48-21 rout of Army.

Orlovsky completed 26-of-36 passes for 317 yards, throwing four TDs in the first half as the Huskies (2-0) raced to a 34-0 halftime lead.

Orlovsky passed for 306 yards in the first half alone, directing scoring drives of 77, 55, 52 and 65 yards to quickly turn the game into a rout.

O'Neil Wilson caught two touchdowns in the first half while Deon Anderson and Dan Murray also had TDs receptions in the opening 30 minutes.

Orlovsky, who has 36 career touchdowns, capped his big day just 11 seconds into the fourth quarter when he found Shaun Feldeisen for a five-yard TD.

The Huskies, who faced Army for the first time since 1979, dominated on offense, totaling 481 yards.

Army (0-1) dropped its seventh straight season opener as Zac Dahman completed 17-of-29 passes for 143 yards and two TDs.

The Cadets have dropped 13 of their last 14 games.
