MIAMI (Ticker) -- Rookie Dwyane Wade scored a season-high 33 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 104-93 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Wade hit three of Miami's season-high 10 3-pointers and Eddie Jones added 21 points for the Heat, who used a 30-point third quarter to take an 84-72 lead. Miami led by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter.

Four of Wade's points came in a 9-0 run early in the third quarter that gave the Heat a 65-50 lead. The Warriors never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.

"Wade is a heck of a rookie," Warriors coach Eric Musselman said. "He continues to get better and better each game. He has great toughness, he's very aggressive going to the basket and he continues to improve his outside jump shot."

Wade was 3-for-3 from long range and 10-of-16 from the field overall. He also got to the line to make 10-of-12 free throws, illustrating Musselman's point about his aggressiveness.

"Nobody is going to go 10-for-16 and 3-for-3 from 3-point range every night, but when that shot starts dropping for him, he becomes very difficult to guard," Miami coach Stan Van Gundy said. "There are not too many players in the league that can go out to the 3-point line to defend him, and then still defend him should he decide to dribble."

The Heat were one point away from matching a season high in points and have won five of their last seven games.

"I have a lot of confidence in my shot," Wade said. "Today I came in and tried to distribute the ball to my teammates. By doing that it kind of opened up my game. I am just trying to make better decisions."

The Heat shot 52 percent (41-of-79) from the field although Caron Butler shot just 2-of-12 and finished with four points.

Miami forward Lamar Odom set tied a franchise record with eight defensive rebounds in the first quarter. He finished with 15 rebounds, including 14 on the defensive glass, to go with 11 points.

"I just tried to stay focused and attack the boards early," Odom said. "It gets us out on the fast break and gets us some easy shots."

With the easy shots Odom provided in the first quarter, the Heat shot 59 percent (13-of-22) to take a 29-22 lead.

Jason Richardson and Nick Van Exel each scored 15 points for the Warriors. Erick Dampier added 12 with six rebounds.
