PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers needed to play strong defense without Allen Iverson, but could not stop Andrei Kirilenko.
Kirilenko scored 10 of his season-high 30 points in the fourth quarter and had a career-high 14 rebounds as the Utah Jazz posted a 94-86 victory over the 76ers.
Iverson sat out for the second time in three games due to a knee problem that has bothered him most of the season. Philadelphia had won two previous games without Iverson this season, holding its opponents under 77 points on both occasions.
But Philadelphia struggled defensively in this one as Kirilenko and former Sixer Matt Harpring, who scored 27 points, helped Utah shoot 52 percent (31-of-60) and win for the 22nd time in the last 27 meetings between the teams.
"Injuries certainly hurt us, but that team played a good game, shot a high percentage, and made themselves tough to beat," Philadelphia point guard Eric Snow said. "We just ran into a team that plays excellent team basketball."
Kirilenko made 9-of-12 shots from the floor, including all three of his 3-pointers, and 9-of-12 free throws. He also had four blocks and four steals.
"I'm just trying to win the game. That's it," he said. "I'm trying to be aggressive on both ends. If it's steals, boards, and blocks, it just helps sometimes. I think it's important for the team."
"Probably as much as anything he was alive," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. "He was like a rope out there. He was all over the floor, he's blocking shots, he's shooting the ball, he's trying to put the ball on the floor, and get on top of the basket."
The Jazz had a 72-71 lead midway through the fourth quarter before pulling away with a 14-5 run. Harpring sparked the burst with a layup and Kirilenko followed with two free throws.
After Snow made 1-of-2 from the line, former Sixer Raja Bell buried a 3-pointer from the right corner. Philadelphia responded with a pair of baskets, but Kirilenko answered with a 3-pointer and Harping added two free throws.
Bell blocked a shot by former teammate Aaron McKie, leading to a dunk by Kirilenko that capped the run and gave the Jazz their biggest lead at 86-76 cushion just 1:54 remaining.
The Jazz made all eight of their free throws in the final 44 seconds and held on to win for just the second time in nine road games this season.
"It was so tough for us because those guys continued to make shots, and we almost had to play a perfect game coming down the game just to stay close," McKie said. "Those guys made their free throws when they had to, and they made shots. We dug a hole for ourselves and it was tough to climb out of it."
Kenny Thomas scored 16 points and rookie Kyle Korver added a season-high 14 for the 76ers, who have lost the first two of a four-game homestand.
Philadelphia's starting lineup struggled without Iverson, making only 19-of-51 shots, including 1-of-9 3-pointers, and committing all but one of the teams 16 turnovers.
