MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Michael Redd finally broke the ice in overtime to help the Milwaukee Bucks break a three-game losing streak.

Redd scored five of his 25 points in overtime as the Bucks topped the Golden State Warriors, 94-89.

"I told the fellas during the timeout (before overtime) that we're not gonna lose this game," Redd said. "We just had to do our job and pounce on them."

Redd's follow shot 2:10 into overtime put the Bucks ahead for good, 89-87, and his jumper with 17 seconds left made it 93-87.

"We made some shots when we needed to," Bucks coach Terry Porter said. "We didn't shoot the ball well the whole game, but down the stretch when we needed some shots, guys stepped up. That was the key."

Neither team shot 40 percent from the field, making Milwaukee's 15 offensive rebounds were especially important. Five of Dan Gadzuric's career-high 13 boards were on the offensive end, as were four of Joe Smith's 14.

The Warriors missed their first 11 shots in the extra session before Nick Van Exel hit a jumper to save Golden State from becoming the ninth team in NBA history to endure a scoreless overtime period.

"Nick was the only one who scored, but he wasn't the only one to take shots," Warriors coach Eric Musselman said. "A lot of it was they were tired. But everyone plays back-to-back games in this league, so I'm not gonna make excuses."

The Warriors won on Tuesday night in Minnesota on a 3-pointer by Jason Richardson in the final second.

Van Exel led the Warriors with 21 points, eight in the fourth quarter and overtime. He was Golden State's only scorer after

Richardson's driving layup with 5:43 to go in regulation tied the game at 83-83.

After Van Exel gave the Warriors an 85-84 lead on a jumper with 4:58 left, each team made only one basket for the rest of regulation.

"We had good looks, we just didn't knock the shots down," Van Exel said. "This is what we do, we can't use that as an excuse."

The Warriors shot just 1-of-13 in overtime as part of a 38 percent (34-of-89) overall performance.

Gadzuric established career highs with 19 points and 13 rebounds for his first career double-double.

"I know I have the talent to be a pretty good offensive player," Gadzuric said. "If I get the ball, I know I can score, but that's not my main focus. My main focus is being a defensive player."

Gadzuric scored six points in the third quarter, highlighted by a thunderous dunk on a fast break that developed so quickly that an attendant mopping the floor under the basket had to run for cover.
