MIAMI (Ticker) -- Lamar Odom and Brian Grant took advantage of Amare Stoudemire's absence.

Odom had 16 points and a career-high 17 rebounds and Grant added a season-high 18 and 10 as the Miami Heat snapped a three-game losing streak with a 92-72 rout of the Phoenix Suns.

The Suns lost Stoudemire to a sprained ankle in Friday's victory over the Boston Celtics and have not won since, losing three straight. Without Stoudemire's intimidating presence in the lane, the Heat dominated inside en route to their most lopsided win of the season.

Odom, who started at power forward, and Grant led Miami to an overwhelming 51-30 rebounding advantage. The Heat scored 40 points in the paint and grabbed 12 offensive rebounds leading to 19 points.

"Coach told me today that he's really going to need me on the boards," Odom said. "I wanted to concentrate on getting rebounds early, just to set a tone."

"I thought Lamar's rebounding is what kept us going in the first half," Heat coach Stan Van Gundy said. "Lets not act like we turned a corner here. As a unit, we played well. This is a 'we' thing."

Miami never trailed in the second half and pulled away with a 21-5 run bridging the final two quarters. Odom scored six points and Eddie Jones added four of his 15 during the stretch, capping it with a jumper to give the Heat their biggest lead at 86-63 with 6:56 to go.

Shawn Marion collected 27 points and 10 rebounds but star guard Stephon Marbury scored just 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting for Phoenix, which has lost six of its last seven games.

The Suns shot just 36 percent (25-of-70) from the field and managed only four offensive rebounds - three by Marion.

"We've become a jump-shooting team," Phoenix coach Frank Johnson said. "A lot of time we had jump shots with no board coverage. When we went to the small lineup, it just didn't happen."

The Heat held the Suns to 5-of-19 shooting in the second quarter and had a 46-41 halftime edge. They scored 14 of the first 20 points in the second half, taking a 60-47 edge on a dunk by rookie Dwyane Wade less than six minutes in.

"That's been a problem for this team this year, starting slow in the second half," Grant said. "When we came out in the third, we just wanted to continue doing what we were doing in the second quarter and we were able to take it to another level."
