TORONTO (Ticker) -- It's hard to believe the words "offensive prowess" actually came out of Kevin O'Neill's mouth.
Vince Carter scored 20 of his 30 points in the second half and Morris Peterson hit four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Toronto Raptors rallied for a 108-98 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.
Carter had nine points in the final period, when the Raptors rallied from a six-point deficit. They used a 24-6 run to build a 95-83 lead with 4:22 to play.
Rookie Chris Bosh scored 22 points and Jalen Rose added 18 for the Raptors, who have averaged 100 points in four games since pulling the trigger on a six-player trade with Chicago. They averaged an NBA-worst 78 through their first 16 games.
"We like our newfound offensive prowess, if you will," said O'Neill, Toronto's first-year coach. "We enjoy that and it gets us into a tempo-type game instead of locking down."
The Raptors look nothing like the team that failed to score 70 points four times before the trade, matching their franchise total. Earlier this season, they set team records for fewest points in a game - on the road and at home.
"We have so many guys who can score and pass," said Carter, who had his fifth 30-point game of the season. "We have a lot of weapons."
One of the weapons is Rose, who came over with Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter in the trade. Since completing the long-anticipated deal, the Raptors are 4-0.
"It seems like we've been playing together for a while, but we haven't quite jelled yet," Peterson said.
Peterson totaled 12 points, all on 3-pointers in the last 10 minutes. He hit back-to-back shots from the arc to put Toronto ahead, 80-79, with 9:20 left and two more 29 seconds apart for a 101-90 cushion with 2:57 to go.
"Vince and Jalen said, 'Stay in the corner. When they double-team, we will throw the ball in the corner and make sure you make the shot.' And I did," said Peterson, who was 4-of-7 from the field.
Bosh also grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds, tying a Raptors rookie record. It marked the most boards by an NBA rookie in regulation this season.
"He is playing with a lot of maturity," Carter said. "You talk about guys like LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony stepping up, but Chris Bosh is right there."
Rashard Lewis and Vladimir Radmanovic scored 20 points apiece for the SuperSonics, who have dropped six of nine games following a 6-2 start. They relinquished a 14-point first-half lead en route to their latest defeat.
"You really have to give Toronto credit for the way they played us," SuperSonics guard Antonio Daniels said. "At the beginning of the game, things came easy, but we didn't stay aggressive."
