PHOENIX (Ticker) -- New coach, same result.

Shawn Marion scored 16 points to lead seven players in double figures as the Phoenix Suns spoiled the coaching debut of Johnny Davis and handed the Orlando Magic their 11th straight loss, 96-89.

Stephon Marbury added 14 points and 11 assists for the Suns, who failed to reach 100 points for the 11th straight game, tying the franchise record set in the first 11 games of the 1996-97 season.

Tracy McGrady led the Magic with 20 points, but it wasn't enough as they fell to 0-5 on the road and 0-7 against Western Conference opponents. Davis was promoted from assistant coach after Doc Rivers was fired following Monday's 90-88 loss at Utah.

Joe Johnson's jumper 18 seconds into the third quarter put Phoenix ahead for good, 50-49.
