LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Quentin Richardson's career night was more than enough to give the Los Angeles Clippers a second straight win.

Richardson had career highs of 32 points and 16 rebounds to propel the Clippers to a 115-103 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

"Tonight I was just concentrating on going hard to the hole and their guys at the two position weren't boxing out," Richardson said. "Plus, our big men really kept their men occupied, which opened up some more (rebound) opportunities for me."

Corey Maggette added 21 points and Chris Wilcox had a career-high 19 for the Clippers, who got coach Mike Dunleavy his 400th careeer win.

"It means I have been around a while," Dunleavy said. "It's nice, but I don't keep track. Hopefully, I'll have 400 more wins."

Dunleavy is in his 11th season as an NBA coach after joining the Clippers over the summer. He also had stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and Portland Trail Blazers.

The Clippers had six players in double figures as Predrag Drobjnak and Marko Jaric had 12 points apiece and Keyon Dooling contributed 11.

"We came out with focus tonight," Dooling said. "We executed well. We really didn't defend that well, but we buckled down eventually."

Shareef Abdur-Rahim led Atlanta with 23 points, Dion Glover had 22 and Stephen Jackson added 17.

"I wanted it to be a defensive game, but it was the type of game the Clippers wanted to play," Hawks coach Terry Stotts said. "When you have a game like this, you can get lulled into a false sense of security that your offense will save you, and it put us in a difficult situation for the second half."

Los Angeles led 84-78 after three quarters, but the Hawks opened the fourth with a 5-0 spurt to climb within a point. They got no closer, however, as the Clippers answered with a 15-8 run over the next five minutes to build a 99-91 cushion.

"We got the lead, lost it, got it back, lost it again," Abdur-Rahim said. "We had lapses and then found ourselves down to start the fourth. We came back and then had our lapses. You just can't do that."

The teams traded baskets in the first quarter. Jaric's buzzer beating 3-pointer from just inside half-court gave the Clippers a 33-32 lead.

Atlanta capitalized on three turnovers by the Clippers to open the second quarter with a 11-0 run and build a 43-33 lead with 8:33 left. A 25-10 burst enabled Los Angeles to take a 58-53 halftime lead. Drobnjak scored eight points during the spurt.

"We had a good effort tonight," Dunleavy said. "The 23 offensive boards and the turnovers kept us in the game. They outshot us, but the turnovers and boards created opportunities for some easy baskets that worked to our advantage."

Atlanta shot well from the field at 54 percent (38-of-70) while the Clippers shot 46 percent (45-of-97). Los Angeles had a 45-30 rebounding advantage and scored 29 points off 24 turnovers by the Hawks.

"Just not taking care of the ball," Hawks point guard Jason Terry said. "I take some responsibility for that. It means they just outworked us all night long."

Terry had four turnovers to go with two assists and 12 points. Atlanta's starting frontcourt totaled only 12 rebounds.

"We didn't block out," Abdur-Rahim said. "We turned the ball over, didn't execute. Rebounding was really tough."

Richardson's alley-oop dunk off a pass from Wilcox gave the Clippers their biggest lead, 76-64, with 4 1/2 minutes left in the third. The Hawks came back and a 3-pointer by Glover just before the buzzer made it 84-78 heading to the final period.
