If the Kings lost and Lakers win, Sacramento will be the fourth seed. Sacramento beat the Lakers on Sunday but came up short at Denver on Monday, 97-89, allowing the Nuggets to secure the eighth and final Western Conference playoff berth. Peja Stojakovic scored 20 points to pace the Kings, who shot just 1-of-7 from the arc. Chris Webber added 18 points but shot just 9-of-25. The Warriors blew a 16-point third-quarter lead against the Lakers at the Staples Center on Tuesday in a 109-104 loss. Clifford Robinson, who will miss the playoffs for the first time in his career, scored 22 points and rookie Mickael Pietrus and reserve Brian Cardinal added 20 points apiece for the Warriors, who shot 49 percent but allowed the Lakers to shoot 53 percent and score 36 fourth-quarter points.
