Phoenix Suns at Utah Jazz
9:00 pm
Recap | Boxscore

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz can sweep a season series from the Phoenix Suns for just the second time in 29 years on Wednesday at the Delta Center.

The Jazz have won their first three meetings with the Suns this season. They have not swept the season series since 1999-2000 - their only sweep since the teams first met in 1974-75.

Despite a surprisingly impressive showing this season, Utah was eliminated from the playoff race with a 104-90 road loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

Carlos Arroyo scored 19 points and Andrei Kirilenko added 16 for the Jazz, who shot less than 38 percent (29-of-77) from the floor, including 4-of-18 from 3-point range.

Phoenix is tied for the worst record in the Western Conference after Tuesday's 98-96 home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Amare Stoudemire collected 29 points and 14 rebounds and Shawn Marion added 24 and 10 for the Suns, who rallied from a 15-point deficit in the second half before losing on a last-second shot by Chris Wilcox.
