Boston cruised to a 102-80 rout at Utah on December 8 as Eric Williams scored 19 points and Mike James added 18. Williams has since been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Paul Pierce managed just 14 points on 5-of-15 shooting. The Celtics have won six out of seven games after Wednesday's rousing 105-103 victory over Dallas. Pierce finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists and nailed the go-ahead basket in the final seconds. Ricky Davis, acquired from Cleveland, made his Boston debut and scored eight points in 24 minutes. Davis was famously involved in a dispute against Utah last season when he missed a shot at his own basket in an effort to pad his rebound numbers and was shoved by the Jazz's DeShawn Stevenson. Utah fell to 1-2 on a six-game road trip after Wednesday's 87-74 loss at New Jersey. Raul Lopez had 15 points and four assists for the Jazz, who managed only nine points in the first quarter. The Jazz are 2-9 on the road, including a 1-3 mark against teams from the East. The Celtics have captured their last three home meetings with the Jazz.
