New Orleans Hornets at Denver Nuggets

DENVER (Ticker) -- The New Orleans Hornets can extend their winning streak over the Denver Nuggets to five games on Tuesday when they finish a four-game road trip at the Pepsi Center.

The Hornets have won four straight meetings with the Nuggets after sweeping the last two season series between the teams. They have not lost to Denver since March 30, 2001.

New Orleans had its four-game winning streak snapped with a 109-80 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Jamaal Magloire had 17 points and 10 rebounds and P.J. Brown added 16 and 13 for New Orleans, which struggled after halftime, managing only 44 points on 14-of-40 shooting.

Baron Davis scored 16 points but made only 7-of-22 shots, including 2-of-11 3-pointers as the Hornets went 2-of-21 from the arc.

New Orleans had its four-game road winning streak snapped, losing for just the fifth time in 15 games away from home this season.

Denver completed a 1-2 road trip with with a 95-88 loss to the New York Knicks on Saturday.

Rookie Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points and Marcus Camby added 12 and 12 rebounds for the Nuggets, who have lost three of four games following a six-game winning streak.

Denver has won seven of its last eight games at the Pepsi Center, where it is 9-2 this season.
