LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The New Orleans Hornets can extend their winning streak to a season-high five games on Monday when they continue a four-game road trip against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.

The Hornets have won four straight games, matching their longest winning streak of the season, which came from November 12-19. They have not won five in a row since taking the final five games of the 2002-03 regular season.

New Orleans won its fourth consecutive road game Friday, 96-85, over the Golden State Warriors. Baron Davis had 27 points and 12 assists and David Wesley scored 23 points for the Hornets, who made 12-of-22 3-pointers.

P.J. Brown collected 16 points and 15 rebounds as New Orleans improved to a league-leading 9-4 on the road.

Los Angeles has opened a four-game homestand with consecutive wins after rolling to a 106-91 rout of the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.

Quentin Richardson scored 25 points and Corey Maggette added 23 for the Clippers, who nearly squandered a 23-point third-quarter lead before holding on.

Elton Brand had 21 points and 14 rebounds in his fifth game back from a fractured foot as Los Angeles rolled to its fourth win in its last five home games.

The Clippers split two meetings with the Hornets last season, with each team losing on their home floor.
