SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs can extend their season-high winning streak to seven games on Monday as they continue a three-game homestand against the Memphis Grizzlies at the SBC Center.
The Spurs have won six consecutive games after losing a season-high four straight. They are trying to win seven in a row for the first time since an 11-games run from March 23-April 11.
San Antonio completed a home-and-home sweep of the Houston Rockets with an 86-73 victory in the opener of its homestand on Saturday.
Manu Ginobili scored 16 points and Tony Parker had 14 points and 12 assists as the Spurs won for the sixth time in their last seven home games, improving to 9-3 at the SBC Center.
San Antonio won despite a struggling Tim Duncan, who scored a season-low eight points on 2-of-10 shooting. The reigning two-time MVP had 12 rebounds and six assists despite sitting out the entire fourth quarter.
The Spurs played their sixth straight game without forward Malik Rose, who remained sidelined with a strained tendon in his right ankle.
Memphis moved a season-high four games over .500 with a 110-63 rout of the New Jersey Nets at the Pyramid on Saturday.
Bonzi Wells scored 22 points and Mike Miller and Stromile added 18 apiece as the Grizzlies, who had six players in double figures and rolled to the most lopsided victory in franchise history.
Pau Gasol had 12 points and nine rebounds as Memphis allowed the lowest total in team history and won for the sixth time in seven games.
The Grizzlies have played seven straight games without starting point guard Jason Williams, who is sideliend with a strained back.
Memphis posted an 88-80 victory over San Antonio on November 3 after Duncan sprained his ankle in the first quarter. The Spurs have a 27-5 edge in the all-time series, including a 12-3 advantage at home.
