ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks try to hand the Denver Nuggets back-to-back losses for the first time in a month and beat them for a 14th straight time at home when they meet at Philips Arena on Tuesday.

The Nuggets, who have not lost consecutive contests since November 7 and 9, had a six-game winning streak end with a 116-111 loss to Boston in Denver on Sunday.

Backup Rodney White scored 23 points, Voshon Lenard added 20 and rookie Carmelo Anthony chippped in 17 and 10 rebounds for Denver, which shot 51 percent (41-of-80) but allowed Boston to make half of its shots.

The Nuggets have dropped their last 13 games in Atlanta since a 133-130 triumph at the Omni on December 10, 1988, when Anthony was four years old. Denver has lost the last five meetings overall.

The Hawks have lost their last four games and six of seven, including a 95-85 setback at Cleveland on Saturday.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored a season-high 43 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Atlanta, which had won six in a row against the Cavaliers.

Guard Stephen Jackson scored just four points and was suspended for the Denver game by the Hawks for conduct detrimental from the team. Jackson, acquired as a free agent in the offseason after winning a championship with the San Antonio Spurs, will be able to return Wednesday against Memphis.
