San Antonio Spurs at Chicago Bulls

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs try to hand the Chicago Bulls a 10th loss in 11 games when they meet at the United Center on Monday.

The Bulls fell to 1-2 under new coach Scott Skiles with a 97-91 setback to New Orleans on Saturday.

Jamal Crawford scored 23 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter, setting a United Center record by making 10-of-12 field goals in the period. He had missed 11-of-12 attempts through three quarters.

Kendall Gill added 15 points, Antonio Davis chipped in 11 and 15 rebounds and Eddy Curry 11 and 10 for the Bulls, who outscored the Hornets in the paint, 48-26.

The Spurs have won back-to-back games on the heels of a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, San Antonio beat Miami, 86-70, to improve to 2-0 on their its three-game road trip. Tim Duncan collected 21 points and 19 rebounds and Rasho Nesterovic added 21 and 13 for the Spurs, who set a now season low for points allowed.

The Spurs have won four in a row over the Bulls since a loss here on December 28, 2000.
