8:30 pm
Recap | Boxscore

DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Dallas Mavericks try to rebound from their first home loss and further the Orlando Magic's free fall when they meet at the American Airlines Center on Saturday.

The Magic set a franchise record with their 18th straight defeat on Friday, losing at home to San Antonio, 105-94.

Tracy McGrady scored 28 points but made only 7-of-27 shots for the Magic, who fell to 0-8 under new coach Johnny Davis, who replaced the fired Doc Rivers last month.

Drew Gooden posted season highs of 23 points and 15 rebounds for Orlando, which rallied from an 18-point second-quarter deficit to take an eight-point third-quarter lead.

The Mavericks had won their first 10 home games before losing to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, 114-103.

Steve Nash overcame a vicious elbow by Karl Malone to score a season-high 30 points and Antoine Walker added 24 and 12 rebounds for the Mavericks, who have lost three of five following a four-game winning streak.

The Mavericks have won five in a row at home against the Magic but lost five straight in Orlando.
