Recap | Boxscore

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- The Indiana Pacers try to avoid consecutive losses for the first time this season Friday when they face the Seattle SuperSonics in the fourth game of a five-game road trip.

The Pacers fell to 1-2 on the journey with Wednesday's 97-95 wild overtime setback at Portland.

Ron Artest returned from a back injury and scored 21 points. But in an overtime that featured five lead changes, he slipped to the floor and threw away a pass, which led to Damon Stoudamire's 17-footer from the right wing that made it 96-95 with 17 seconds to play.

Seattle has won two in a row after losing four of its previous five games. The SuperSonics are 2-0 on a three-game homestand after victories over the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks.

In Wednesday's 95-87 victory over the Knicks, rookie Luke Ridnour had the best game of his brief career. He scored 10 of his season-high 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Seattle will be trying to avenge a loss in the first meeting with the Pacers in Indiana. On November 14, Jeff Foster collected 19 and 12 rebounds in Indiana's 101-78 rout.

Indiana has won three of its last five trips to Seattle after losing the previous five.
