Recap | Boxscore

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The reeling Orlando Magic try to avoid setting a franchise record for consecutive losses on Friday when they host the sputtering San Antonio Spurs.

The Magic have lost 17 straight games since a season-opening win at New York on October 29, matching the team record for consecutive defeats set during the 1991-92 season.

On Wednesday, the Magic lost to New Orleans on the road in the back end of a home-and-home series, 106-91.

Tracy McGrady scored 29 points and Tyronn Lue added 20 for Orlando, which trailed by just three points with three minutes remaining but allowed New Orleans to go on a late 11-0 run.

The Magic are 0-10 at home this season.

The Spurs have lost four straight games, including a 90-86 home setback to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday that dropped them beneath .500.

Tim Duncan scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds but missed his final five shots for the Spurs, who held a 71-62 lead entering the fourth quarter.

San Antonio is just 2-7 on the road this season.

The Spurs have won the last four meetings between the teams.
