NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- After five straight games against some of the worst teams in the NBA, the New Orleans Hornets host the resurgent Houston Rockets at New Orleans Arena on Friday.
The Hornets won just three of their last five games despite facing Miami, New York and Cleveland and consecutive games against league-worst Orlando. They face the Rockets before playing four more games against teams that are under .500.
New Orleans completed a home-and-home sweep of Orlando, which has lost 17 in a row, with a 106-91 victory here on Wednesday.
Baron Davis had 27 points and 12 assists and Jamaal Magloire collected 20 points and 14 rebounds to help the Hornets to an overwhelming 58-28 rebounding advantage.
David Wesley scored 13 points and P.J. Brown had 10 points and 10 rebounds as all five New Orleans starters reached double figures in scoring.
The Hornets have won four of their last five games at home, where they are an Eastern Conference-leading 7-2 this season.
