TORONTO (Ticker) -- The fans at Air Canada Centre will see the new-look Toronto Raptors for the first time on Wednesday in the opener of a three-game homestand against the Boston Celtics.
The Raptors upgraded their offense Monday by acquiring swingman Jalen Rose and forwards Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter in a six-player trade with the Chicago Bulls.
Marshall and Rose made their debuts on Tuesday as Toronto posted a 95-88 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in the finale of a four-game road trip.
Marshall scored a season-high 27 points and Vince Carter had 10 of his 21 in the fourth quarter and handed out a career-high 12 assists as the Raptors won for the third time in four games.
Toronto rookie Chris Bosh had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Alvin Williams scored 15 points. Rose had six points and eight assists.
The Raptors were averaging fewer than 80 points per game but were helped greatly by their new additions, scoring more than 90 for just the third time and shooting 47 percent (34-of-72).
Boston has dropped six of its last eight games after Monday's 96-89 home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Paul Pierce scored 26 points and Eric Williams added 12 off the bench for Boston, which shot just 38 percent (32-of-84) from the floor.
The Celtics have lost five of their last seven games on the road, where they play three of their next four.
Boston won two of three meetings with Toronto last season, including its only visit to Air Canada Centre. The Celtics have won seven of the last 10 overall meetings with the Raptors.
