Toronto Raptors at Philadelphia 76ers

Recap | Boxscore

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- After pulling off a blockbuster trade, the Toronto Raptors visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

The Raptors acquired guard-forward Jalen Rose and forwards Lonny Baxter and Donyell Marshall from the Chicago Bulls on Monday for forward-center Jerome Williams and forwards Antonio Davis and Chris Jefferies.

Rose gives the Raptors a proven second option after star Vince Carter, who is sixth in the NBA at 22.8 points per game but has received little help. Only one other Raptor - rookie Chris Bosh - is averaging in double figures. Rose is averaging only 13.3 points per game, but last season started every game for Chicago and averaged 22.1 points.

The 6-9 Marshall is averaging 8.7 points per game this season, 5.7 off his number from 2002-03. The 30-year-old also grabbed 6.2 rebounds per contest and led the team with 20 blocks.

Baxter is in only his second NBA season. The 6-8, 260-pounder is averaging 4.3 points and 2.5 boards.

Toronto had won three of four games before a Saturday's 78-66 setback at Miami when Carter got hurt. Carter contested a baseline jumper by Eddie Jones with 9:04 left in the third quarter. He stumbled, fell out of bounds and banged his head and right knee. The superstar guard remained on the floor for several minutes before heading to the locker room.

X-rays on his jaw were negative and Carter returned with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter. But he appeared stiff and finished with eight points.

"I wanted to come back and play," Carter said. "I came back here and ran for a little while and tried to get loose and see how I felt. If I am able to play, I want to go out there and support the team."

Philadelphia comes off Saturday's 98-86 home win over Atlanta and has won three in a row at home. One night after being held to 12 points, Allen Iverson scored 50.

Iverson made 20-of-34 shots from the floor, including 4-of-7 3-pointers in his sixth regular-season 50-point game and first since January 15, 2002.

Iverson did not play in Philadelphia's 81-75 win at Toronto on November 19 due to a knee injury. In that game, Eric Snow scored eight of his 18 points in the fourth quarter.
