New Orleans Hornets at Orlando Magic

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The New Orleans Hornets try to keep the Orlando Magic's losing streak going when the teams begin a home-and-home series Tuesday night at TD Waterhouse Centre.

Orlando opened the season with an 85-83 overtime victory at New York on October 29, but has followed with 15 straight defeats - tying the second-longest skid in team history.

The Magic had a team-record 17-game skid from December 4-January 7, 1992.

Orlando's latest loss was an 87-86 defeat to the Toronto Raptors here on Friday. Tracy McGrady scored 18 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Magic.

New Orleans has dropped three of its last five games following a season-high four-game winning streak and has not scored more than 88 points in its last seven games.

On Saturday, David Wesley scored 16 points and Baron Davis added 13 and 10 assists on 5-of-22 shooting for the Hornets in a 79-74 loss at New York. The Hornets shot just 32 percent (29-of-91).

Orlando's skid began with a 100-98 home loss to New Orleans on October 30. Jamaal Magloire scored a career-high 27 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had a pivotal block and Wesley had 28 points. That game marked the return of Darrell Armstrong to Orlando, where he played 502 games in nine years. Armstrong scored four points in 20 minutes.

The teams meet in New Orleans on Wednesday.
