Recap | Boxscore

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs try to extend the Los Angeles Clippers' losing streak to seven games when they meet on Monday at the Staples Center.

The Clippers, who have the worst record in the Western Conference, lost to Denver at home on Saturday, 98-86.

Corey Maggette scored 22 points and Melvin Ely chipped in a season-best 15 for the Clippers, who fell behind by 15 points after the first quarter and never recovered.

The Spurs have lost back-to-back games, including a 91-89 setback at Golden State on Saturday that dropped them to 0-2 on a three-game road trip.

Tim Duncan had 27 points and 15 rebounds to pace San Antonio, which is just 2-6 on the road. Duncan missed an open jump shot that would have tied the game just before the buzzer.

Last season, the Spurs went 3-1 against the Clippers, splitting the two games here.
