Recap | Boxscore

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz try to extend their season-high winning streak to four games on Monday when they host the New Jersey Nets at the Delta Center.

Expected to struggle mightily this season with the departure of future Hall of Famers John Stockton and Karl Malone, the Jazz have won nine of their first 15 contests, including eight of nine at home.

The Jazz improved to 4-1 on their six-game homestand with a 98-81 triumph over Seattle on Friday.

Raja Bell scored a career-high 25 points and Matt Harpring added 24 and 10 rebounds for the Jazz, who made half of their shots and limited the SuperSonics to 40 percent.

Utah played without starting center Greg Ostertag, who was benched for a violation of team rules.

The Nets are 2-2 on their five-game road trip after dropping consecutive games, including a 105-92 setback to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

Rodney Rogers scored 23 points off the bench and Kenyon Martin added 18 for the Nets, who trailed at the half, 60-32, and never caught up.

Utah has won the last three meetings between the teams and 14 of 16 at home.
