PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers begin their first homestand of the season on Saturday when they host the Atlanta Hawks at the Wachovia Center.
The 76ers have played seven of their first 17 games at home this season but have not played consecutive games here. They begin a three-game homestand against the Hawks before facing Toronto and Chicago - three teams with a combined record of 18-30.
Philadelphia's road losing streak reached three games with a 90-77 defeat to the league-leading Indiana Pacers on Friday.
Kenny Thomas scored 14 points and Eric Snow added 12 and 10 assists as the 76ers shot just 41 percent (29-of-71) from the floor and were held under 80 points for the third time this season.
Philadelphia's struggles were typified by star guard Allen Iverson, who was limited to 12 points on 4-of-19 shooting.
The Sixers are just 4-3 at home this season but have won three of their last four at the Wachovia Center.
Atlanta completed a four-game homestand with a 95-83 victory over the lowly Miami Heat on Friday.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim had a season-high 34 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Hawks, which nearly squandered a double-digit lead for the third consecutive games.
Jason Terry collected 21 points and eight assists and Stephen Jackson scored 15 for Atlanta, which shot just 39 percent (33-of-84) from the floor but made 24-of-28 free throws.
The Hawks won three of four meetings with the Sixers last season, including both visits to the Wachovia Center, which was known as the First Union Center.
