Recap | Boxscore

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks try to hand the Miami Heat a 10th loss in 11 road contests this season when they match up at Philips Arena on Friday.

The Heat have struggled mightily on the road this season but surprised New Orleans in Miami on Tuesday, 91-87.

Eddie Jones scored 25 points and Lamar Odom added 19 for Miami, which had lost seven in a row to the Hornets. Jones and Brian Grant each hit a pair of free throws in the final 15 seconds to seal the win.

The Hawks have lost back-to-back games, including a 99-97 overtime setback to Toronto on Wednesday when Vince Carter nailed a jumper with 1.2 seconds remaining.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored a season-high 30 points and added 13 rebounds for the Hawks, who led by eight points entering the fourth quarter.

Miami won the final three games between the teams last season after dropping the first contest here.
