Recap | Boxscore

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz try to improve to 7-1 at home when they host the Houston Rockets at the Delta Center on Wednesday.

Expected to struggle this season, the Jazz are a surprising 7-6 in the rugged Midwest Division, where only Memphis is below .500. Utah is especially tough at home, winning five of its first six games here.

The Jazz are coming off a 99-90 home triumph over Milwaukee on Friday as Andrei Kirilenko scored 20 points and Matt Harpring and Raul Lopez added 18 apiece.

Utah lost starting point guard Carlos Arroyo to a sprained ankle early in the third quarter but got a bigger scare just minutes later when DeShawn Stevenson landed awkwardly while driving the the basket. He got sandwiched between Harpring and Milwaukee forward Tim Thomas and injured his neck.

Stevenson was down for several minutes before being taken off the court on a stretcher and to a hospital, where it was determined his injury was not serious. He is expected to play, but Arroyo will be out for 7-10 days.

Houston beat the Los Angeles Clippers on the road on Monday, 105-90.

Steve Francis scored 13 of his 19 points in the first half as the Rockets built a 55-41 advantage and Cuttino Mobley added 15 of his 17 after the break.

The Jazz won three of four matchups with the Rockets last season. Utah has won 12 of the last 13 home meetings with Houston.
