SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic try to salvage the finale of a five-game road trip on Friday when they visit Arco Arena to face the Sacramento Kings, who have won three in a row.
The Magic have lost 11 consecutive games since winning their season opener against the New York Knicks. It is the third-longest slide in franchise history behind a 17-game skid from December 4-January 7, 1992 and a 15-game slide from March 22-April 20, 1990.
Orlando continued the worst start in the team's 16-year history with a 96-89 loss to Phoenix Suns on Thursday.
Tracy McGrady had 20 points, seven assists and five rebounds as the Magic lost in the debut of coach Johnny Davis, who replaced Doc Rivers on Tuesday.
Tyronn Lue scored 14 points and Drew Gooden added 13 and eight rebounds for Orlando, which remained winless in seven games against Western Conference teams this season.
Sacramento has won three consecutive games with a 118-110 road victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
Peja Stojakovic scored 30 points and Mike Bibby added 18 points for the Kings, who shot 58 percent (40-of-69) from the floor, including 6-of-17 from 3-point range.
Reserve Anthony Peeler had 15 points and Vlade Divac recorded 12 as Sacramento won for just the second time in six road games this season.
The Kings return to Arco Arena, where they are unbeaten in five games this season, winning by an average of 12.6 points.
Sacramento and Orlando split two meetings last season, with each team winning on its home floor.
