Milwaukee Bucks at Utah Jazz
9:00 pm
Recap | Boxscore

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz try to avoid falling below .500 for the first time this season Friday night as they face the Milwaukee Bucks in the third game of a season-high six-game homestand.

Expected to struggle without Karl Malone and John Stockton, the Jazz have not been below .500 this season. They have lost four of their last six games but just one of their first six home contests.

Despite scoring over 100 points for the second time, the Jazz suffered their first home loss as they dropped a 118-110 decision to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.

Carlos Arroyo and Andrei Kirilenko were two of four starters to score over 19 points as they finished with 25 and 22, respectively. But the Jazz allowed the Kings to shoot 58 percent.

Milwaukee has lost two in a row and three of four. The Bucks began a three-game road trip with Wednesday's 94-86 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Tim Thomas scored 25 points and Michael Redd added 24 as Milwaukee trailed by 19 points at halftime before making the game respectable.

Rookie T.J. Ford continued to struggle, going scoreless in 15 minutes. Since getting 15 points at New York on November 5, he has not scored more than eight.

The Jazz won both meetings from the Bucks last season, marking the first since 1997-98 they swept the season series.
