Recap | Boxscore

SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs try to extend their home winning streak over the Atlanta Hawks to six games on Friday when the teams meet at the SBC Center.

The Spurs have won their last five home games against the Hawks, who have not posted a victory in San Antonio since February 15, 1997. Atlanta lost its first visit to the SBC Center last season.

San Antonio has won seven of the last eight overall meetings with Atlanta. The teams split two meetings last season, with each team winning on its home floor.

The Spurs failed to win three in a row for the first time this season after Thursday's 95-92 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Tim Duncan collected 30 points and 17 rebounds and Rasho Nesterovic added 18 points for San Antonio, which lost for just the second time in six games.

Atlanta avoided its third consecutive loss with a 101-93 road victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 27 points and 11 rebounds and Jason Terry scored 19 points for the Hawks, who snapped a nine-game road losing streak to the Bucks.
